A mask helps in the prevention of the spread of Coronavirus but won't stop it - it is still required that you practice physical distancing. Due to the increase in cases of Covid-19 in Victoria we've responded to the demand and have been getting crafty; sewing up reusable face masks. After many tests and trials, we've decided on making a face mask that should fit the contours of your face as to avoid touching and adjusting the mask. The pattern we have used in from Craft Passion, and we make sure to put in every ounce of detail into this mask. Do's and Don't
How to clean your face maskPut used mask in with your everyday washing with laundry detergent. Leave to air dry. Don't put mask in microwave/oven - can destroy fibers in fabric/set fabric on fire Our maker, Lara, is a hobby sewer with experience over the years sewing projects here and there over the years. In 2019 she spent five months sewing reusable tote bags in Clunes for community project where also managing the production line, teaching other volunteers how to sew, and coming up with designs for some of the bags and projects. |
Note: We're presently using the fabrics we have in stock and the lining on the masks is to the discretion of what we have on hand.
Due to the short supply of elastic we are using jewellery elastic which is thin elastic or elastic from disposable masks. You can replace and thread through your own elastic or ties if you prefer. Important: As each mask takes approx. 1.5hr to sew, please understand that there may be a backlog on orders. We aim to have your orders sent/delivered within 3 days.
