Haori Jacket Bookmarks
Beautiful and unique bookmark made in the style of a Haori Jacket - a traditional Japanese jacket that is commonly worn over a kimono.
These bookmarks have been folded from fabric where the material is soaked in a glue & water mix to stiffen the fabric so it is able to be folded once dried. Once we fold the jacket, a hot iron is pressed onto the fabric to retain its shape.
To use, simply insert the book page between the body of the jacket and the sleeves.
You can even add a brooch back and where your jacket.
There is a video tutorial on how to fold the Haori Jacket in the tutorials section of our website.
Please view our current stock selection of what vibrant bookmarks we have in stock.
If you find the bookmark at all starts to loose a bit of shape, you can take a hot iron and press down for a few seconds on the bookmark. It will become slightly flexible as the glue in the fabric is heated up, but once cooled, the bookmark will harden and retain shape.
